My name is Becky Hithersay
and I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself, scrapbooking and my vision
for Crescent Creations.
Like many people, my passion for scrapbooking began with a life changing
event. In my case it was the birth of my son. By an incredible stroke of
fortune, my generous Aunt presented me with a beautiful Anna Griffin Kit to keep
a record of my baby's early years, and before I knew it, I had a whole new way of life.
The practice of keeping scrapbooks dates back hundreds of years (although
they weren't called scrapbooks then), but only really became popular after the
invention of the camera. The Victorians were known to be very prolific
scrappers.
These days, attention has turned to preserving memories as well as
recording them, and scrapbooking products have evolved hugely. The importance of
using acid- and lignin-free, archival quality materials has been recognised, and that is why all
the items in this shop are made by manufacturers who are committed to providing
scrapbook-safe products (unless specifically marked otherwise).
In opening this shop, I aim to provide both new and experienced scrappers
with beautiful scrapbook-safe products from the best manufacturers, and
will always be on the look-out for something a little bit different to add that
extra special touch to your scrapbooks.
